Contingency Outplacement

Patterson Placements'  Outplacement Services
are offered on a risk-free, contingency basis.

For the HR Department
Displaced workers receive the benefits while their former employers pay our Associates, but only when the job candidate is placed in a new position. The company pays for performance, realizing that our Associates are strongly motivated to do a good job.

Sounds so simple, but this concept is actually revolutionary. No outplacement firm that we know of offers anything similar to our contingency-fee outplacement service. That's why we've applied for patent protection.

This unique compensation approach to a vitally needed service evolved from our contingency-based recruiting business. While searching for candidates to fill a wide variety of openings, a few things became obvious to us:

  • Outplacement candidates are poorly prepared and inadequately supported

  • Outplacement firms are geared toward counseling rather than job placement

  • Recruiters marketing their clients got better results than candidates marketing themselves

We’ve also noticed that candidates in outplacement programs were not receiving effective resume preparation, interview skills training, or job research guidance for today's competitive market. It was clear that candidates presented and marketed by recruiters were placed in higher-paying positions much faster than those who attempted to market themselves.

Unbelievably, as we examined what outplacement firms offered, we discovered that not a single company works on contingency. And none of these companies makes calls to employers on behalf of the candidates. Since that’s exactly how we do an Executive Search, it was a natural transition.

For the Candidate
"Did you know that the majority of people making job changes and career changes actually NEVER know where their passion is and how to be happy?  In a recent survey, we found that 74% of people wanted to be happy in their jobs, but only 20% ranked it as the highest priority in choosing a job.  The reason is that people just don't know how to develop a career plan and how to find the Ideal Career that fits them."

Tom (TJ) Jones, author, national speaker and certified career coach and I might add, a colleague of mine, has developed an e-course on CD that takes you through 25 Steps to Your Ideal Career called "DISCOVER YOUR CAREER PASSION"  I'd highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a new career, in a job transition period, feeling unfulfilled or just wanting to get back on track to ensure they are doing something that makes them happy and successful in their jobs and careers.

Even people who want to be self-employed need to take this program because it will help them find what kind of self-employment they should be seeking.  It's even great for those who are getting close to retirement.  TJ calls them "Retiring Careers".   I'd recommend you take a look at what the program has to offer at
